Support Center - Configuring Outlook Express If this is you first time launching Outlook Express, the Internet Connection Wizard will open automatically. If not, run the connection wizard by going to: In Outlook Express 6, go to the Tools menu and select Accounts. Then click on the ADD button and select Mail. Enter your full name in the Display Name field, such as Bob Smith. Click Next. ![]() Enter the full email address in the Email Address field such as bob@custom-name.com. The administrator for your account must create this email address and password for you. Then click Next. ![]() Select POP3 as the incoming mail server. Enter mail.custom-name.com for Incoming and Outgoing mail servers. Click Next. ![]() Enter the full email address for the Account Name. In this example, we are creating the email account bob@custom-name.com, so the Account Name is bob@custom-name.com. Enter the password for this email account in the Password field. Click Next. ![]() Click Finish on the Congratulations page. The Internet Connection Wizard will close. Hang in there, you have one more setting to apply. ![]() In OutLook Express 6, go to the tools menu and select Accounts. Click on the Mail tab, select the email account, then click the properties button. ![]() Select the Servers tab, and check the box next to "My server requires authentication". Click OK. ![]() Outlook Express is now configured. |
